hey alfred, I'm bipolar too and get the same thing out of smoking pot. I smoke it and suddenly see all the messed up ways I'm living my life. I then work on fixing them and abstain till the next time I smoke a few weeks or months later, when I will see again my own follies and have a chance to fix them.

oh admin ur hilarious, because i actually beat my bipolarity using marijuana. it allows you to look at how you've been acting and how you can better yourself. and if im lazy... wat can u tell me about working for a guy who has LUPUS... for free. your a terrible parent, and i bet you got your ''degree on psychology'' from a flea market. oh yeah, and im also 16, and i am actually taking college courses to get a job building and modding computers. to bad this pot makes me so lazy, or else i would be much better off with bi-polarity and not-college courses. oh, and why don't you put evidence of your claims on the board? ohhh yeah, maybe because that evidence doesn't exist. And you need to also realize that prohibition was started because ''big businesses'' saw in the 1930's that hemp would produce much greater output than their methods, so a political board , who noticed that a large percentage of marijuana users are black or hispanic, used racism and scare-tactics to make people believe that hemp was the same as pot, which was the stuff the ''unwanted races'' were using. So in all reality, they never illegalized pot, for being harmful, nor did they research it before they made their claims. Instead they illegalized it to make people think that growing industrial hemp wasa the same as growing '' that stuff the mexicans, ******, and even jews'' were ''schmokin''. Thus... the war ur fighting is actually hurting the american wealth and prosperity, because if hemp wasn't as useful... No One Would Care About Marijuana. YOUR IGNORANCE AND ILL-INFORMEDNESS IS ASTOUNDING. email me at alfyajw@yahoo.com and i'll send u the facts, cause truth is... i care about your child enough that i don't want him to grow up seeing your lies as the truth. and my friend, you have a case of reefer madness. IDIOT

How many have died from the use of marijuana? 0
How many news reports can you show me that marijuana is the cause of families fighting each other/harming each other? 0

The Gateway Drug theory is a myth, its really called life. You start with milk and move towards alcohol or cigarettes, cannabis use can follow.

And what harm is there in that?

Deaths from Marijuana a Year: 0

Why would you even create this website? There are much better things to be protesting on then what a human decides to do to THEIR OWN BODY.

Admin, I can empathize with you about that last comment. Just want to show you that I am not here simply to disagree with you. I do think that there are much more serious things to focus your energy on than marijuana. Marijuana is not the problem, I would hope you could begin to open your mind to that. I empathize with your desire to fight addiction, because I have seen its devastating impact on many lives, but this is in reference to dangerous substances, as a marijuana addiction is realistically more on par with something like a videogame addiction. There are much better things to focus your energy on. I say this not only to defend marijuana, but to possibly help those in far greater need of your help, or in need of a better approach to help.. Attacking marijuana is not going to help the world in the way that focusing on addictive disorder itself, or truly addicting and dangerous substances would.

Brian,

This isn't the website dontspankyourkids.com Please give me a break. When I was in middle school the principal was able to paddle students (with parental approval). Practically every adult in America age 40 and over was spanked at some point. So, that's why we are all so crazy. :)

Hitting your child at all is considered child abuse. There is really no reason to hit your kid, it's not going to solve any problems. It will just re-enforce the thought that receiving physical pain is an adequate punishment to doing something wrong. They'll grow up thinking or expecting to be punished physically every time they make a mistake, or perhaps physically harm themselves for making bad decisions/choices/mistakes. This will give them tremendous social and generalized anxiety, for they will live in constant fear of being punished and they'll be one of the most pussified members of society that they'll probably resort to using drugs in secret to mask their anxiety symptoms.

You probably don't know a lot of people that were spanked as children and that now use drugs.

If you are so versed in psychology, you would be aware of the coorelation between spanking and a child's development:

"While spanking may relieve a parent's frustration and stop misbehavior briefly, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics (1995), researchers suggest that spanking may be the least effective discipline method. To test this hypothesis, researchers surveyed parents, with the assumption that if spanking worked, children who were spanked would learn to behave better over time so that they would need punishing less frequently (Leach, 1996). However, the results showed that families who start spanking before their children are a year old are just as likely to spank their 4-year-old children as often as families who do not start spanking until later. Thus, children appear not to be learning the lessons parents are trying to teach by spanking.

Spanking may be ineffective because it does not teach an alternative behavior (American Academy of Pediatrics, 1995). In fact, children usually feel resentful, humiliated, and helpless after being spanked (Samalin & Whitney, 1995). The primary lesson they learn appears to be that they should try harder not to get caught.

Spanking also sends the wrong message to children (Samalin & Whitney, 1995). Spanking communicates that hitting is an acceptable way to solve problems, and that it is all right for a big person to strike a smaller one. In addition, when children are spanked, they may know that they have done something wrong, but in many cases, they are too young to understand the lesson. It is a very difficult message for any adult or child to understand: "I hurt you because I don't want you hurt."

Finally, when spanking is the primary discipline method used, it may have some potentially harmful long-term effects such as increasing the chances of misbehavior, aggression, violent or criminal behavior; impaired learning; and depression (Straus, 1995)."

Actually i wasn't calling you names, i was describing your level of intelligence.

If i wanted to call you names just to call you names i would believe me. I never said i was a great activist, i just said i was a activist. Anyone who smokes should do something to further along the legalization of Cannabis. I type how i talk, and when i am talking to someone i loath i talk just the way i am now. Just to throw it out there, i think you are a big douchebag for blaming all your problems on Cannabis. You can't even argue the facts with anyone, everything you argue about is just your point of view.

You want me to talk rationally? I have been with a couple U R DUMBTARD every now and then. I can't help it, it's just so easy.

I want you to talk factually, but all you have been able to do is threaten people and throw claims out there that have no real meaning at all. You have nothing to say about the facts people are laying down other than giving your own little stories that you try to use as a credible source. Your full of **** and the fail boat you road in on is sinking. Now your just reaching for anything to come back with because you have actually nothing at all that is indeed the truth.

I'm surprised as hell that you are allowing any of our posts to show up on your website honestly. Usually people like you refuse to allow the facts to be shown. You might be full of fail, but at least your not being a ***** about it.

ADMIN, once again, you detract from the fact that good arguments have been posed against your stance, by focusing on trivial things. I believe he was being sarcastic, something that is not too hard to see.

You hardly provide anything very intelligent, plausible, or most importantly, valuable. Your responses are mostly rhetoric. There is a term popular on the internet, called "FAIL." You are full of it.
